Château de la Johannie, Medieval castle in Curemonte, France.
The castle consists of two main wings connected by a central square tower that contains a spiral staircase serving different floors.
The initial structure dates from 1083, and the building became part of the female Order of Malta commandery in Curemonte during 1308.
Four fireplaces located in the East and West wings demonstrate the noble architectural traditions of medieval Limousin region.
The facades, roofs, spiral staircase, and fireplaces of the castle received protection status as historical monuments in November 1981.
The windows of the castle increase in size with each floor level, featuring a particular carved window on the eastern facade.
