The castle features circular towers and a long facade with two levels of identical openings, positioned alongside National Road 86 facing the Rhône River.
Jacques d'Hilaire fortified the castle in the 16th century by adding moats, thick walls, and turrets to protect both the garrison and the Rhône route.
The property includes several agricultural structures from multiple centuries, such as a chapel, orangery, fish pond, silk production facilities, stables, and textile mills.
The castle opens its doors to visitors during summer months and offers reception rooms for events throughout the year in Rochemaure.
