Château de Lafauche

Château de Lafauche is a castle perched on a hilltop, surrounded by massive stone walls and multiple towers. The grounds contain various structures including residential quarters and defensive elements that illustrate how medieval fortified life was organized.

The site is best accessed from the western side where the main entrance offers the easiest approach. Wear comfortable shoes, as exploring the interior pathways and ramparts involves climbing and uneven terrain.

The castle contains a multi-level dungeon connected by stone staircases, offering a glimpse into medieval security measures. Such underground chambers served both as detention spaces and shelter during sieges.
