Château de Vert-Mont

Château de Vert-Mont is a villa with a large English-style garden in Rueil-Malmaison, just outside Paris. The estate features a park with water features, mature trees, and open lawns around a main building that contains multiple reception spaces and a ballroom with five bay windows.

The property was built in 1859 and later acquired by American philanthropists Edward Tuck and Julia Stell. They transformed it around 1900 with neo-Louis XVI styling and modern updates to suit their vision.

The name refers to the green hillside location of the property. Inside, visitors encounter neo-rococo decorations with ornate details that reflect the tastes of early 20th-century wealth and refinement.

The estate can host events and gatherings in its various reception spaces and rooms. Visitors should be prepared to walk across the large grounds, as the property spreads across different areas that require time to explore thoroughly.

In the early 20th century, the estate operated its own electrical power generation facility on the grounds. This technical building was later repurposed as a guardian pavilion and remains a rare example of private power generation from that era.
