Force et Tendresse

Force et Tendresse is an abstract sculpture carved from Belgian bluestone set within the Tuileries Garden. The work presents flowing forms that explore opposing qualities, with integrated seating areas on each side for visitors to rest.

The work was installed in 2000 as part of an effort to bring modern artworks into the historic garden space. This addition reinforced the location's role as a setting for contemporary artistic expression.

The sculpture serves as a gathering point where visitors naturally pause and interact with both the artwork and their surroundings.
