Hôtel Aubriot, Medieval private mansion in Dijon, France
The hôtel Aubriot features a three-nave cellar with eight bays supported by octagonal pillars and covered with ribbed vaults at 40 rue des Forges.
The mansion's construction began in the early 13th century, with major renovations in 1750 by architect Charles-Elie Le Jolivet for the royal court installation.
The cellar earned the name 'vault of changes' as it served as a gathering place for money changers during medieval times in Dijon.
The building received official monument historique classification in 2011, protecting both the structure and its internal courtyard for preservation purposes.
Four twin arcades with blind arcatures at their extremities decorate the first-floor facade, topped with ornate dormers added in the 16th century.
