MK2 Beaubourg, Movie theater in Les Halles, Paris, France

MK2 Beaubourg is an art-et-essai cinema at 50 rue Rambuteau, in the Halles district of Paris's 3rd arrondissement, facing the Centre Georges-Pompidou. Its six screens, from 42 to 183 seats, all sit in the basement of the Quartier de l'Horloge complex; only the reception is at street level. Screens range from 5.4 by 2.28 metres in the largest room to 3 by 1.38 metres in the smallest.

Opened on 6 November 1981 as Ciné-Beaubourg Les Halles, in the basement of the new Quartier de l'Horloge complex, it was classed art et essai from the start with three screens. Two more screens were added in 1984 and a sixth, of 42 seats, in 1985. Initially independent, it joined the UGC programming circuit, was bought by the MK2 group in 1995 and became the 14-Juillet Beaubourg, then MK2 Beaubourg on 29 April 1998.

Classified art et essai since opening, the cinema takes its name from the Beaubourg plateau facing the Centre Pompidou. Its six basement screens, from 42 to 183 seats, sit under the Quartier de l'Horloge, with only the street-level reception on rue Rambuteau.
