Pont-Aven museum

The museum exhibits paintings, drawings, and sculptures from the Pont-Aven School, known for its innovative techniques in color representation during the 19th century.

Established in 1985, the museum doubled its size in 2016 through integration of the former museum wing and Hotel Julia, creating a modern three-level exhibition space.

The permanent collection features 4,500 artworks by influential painters including Paul Gauguin, Émile Bernard, Paul Sérusier, and Maurice Denis, representing various artistic movements.

The facility remains open daily except Mondays, with last admission 30 minutes before closing time and gallery evacuation beginning 15 minutes before closing.

The outdoor terrace garden incorporates heather, gorse, and grass arrangements based on artwork by Filiger, connecting the natural space to the artistic collection.
