The Bois-Karre fortification consists of a two-level combat block with firing chambers and a machine gun turret near the Luxembourg border.
Built in 1931 for 10 million francs, this Maginot Line structure served as a defense point during the Battle of France in 1940.
The fortress represents French military engineering from the interwar period, demonstrating the nation's defense strategy through concrete construction.

Unlike other Maginot Line structures, Bois-Karre operates as a single blockhouse without underground galleries or remote entry points.
