Monte Cardo

Monte Cardo is a mountain summit in Haute-Corse that rises to approximately 2,450 meters and features a jagged ridge visible from the Cortenais region of Corsica. The peak stands as a distinct landmark when viewed from lower elevations throughout the area.

The mountain witnessed two aircraft incidents during World War II and the years following, marking important moments in local history. These events became part of the region's story and its connection to wider regional events.
