Patinoire Trimolet is Dijon's municipal ice rink, opened in 1972 on boulevard Louis Joseph Trimolet, east of the city near the Gaston-Gérard stadium. Its single ice sheet measures 56 metres by 26 metres, and the stands hold 1,000 spectators, 840 of them seated. Three local clubs train here: Dijon Hockey Club, whose team is called the Ducs, the ASGDB figure skating and ice dance club, and Speedy on Ice for short-track speed skating.
The facility opened in 1972 as one of the first ice skating centers in the Burgundy region. It was built to support the growing interest in winter sports and ice skating disciplines across the area.
Three Dijon clubs are based here: Dijon Hockey Club, whose team is called the Ducs and trains children from age 3, the Académie des Sports de Glace Dijon Bourgogne for figure skating and ice dance, and Speedy on Ice Dijon Bourgogne for short-track speed skating.
