Patinoire de la Barre, Ice rink in Anglet, France
The Patinoire de la Barre is an ice rink with a skating surface and viewing seating located near the Atlantic Ocean. The facility provides training areas and equipment for various ice sports.
The facility was built in the late 1960s and opened shortly after. A modernization in the early 2010s improved the technical systems and accessibility for visitors.
The rink hosts two local clubs that train and compete regularly throughout the year. Ice hockey and figure skating are part of the sports culture in this coastal town.
Access is from Avenue de l'Adour with parking available nearby. The rink operates most of the year with scheduled public skating times for all skill levels.
This is the only ice sports facility in a large surrounding area along the Atlantic coast. Its location at a river mouth makes it a special destination for ice skaters in the region.
