Parc Jourdan, Public park in central Aix-en-Provence, France
Parc Jourdan is a public park in the heart of Aix-en-Provence with two distinct levels connected by a grand double staircase. The lower section features a formal French garden layout, while the upper level contains a romantic garden area with looser plantings and walking paths.
Plans for this park began in 1926 when municipal leaders decided to create a green space in the city center, with actual construction starting in 1932. Architects Jacques Couelle and Peslier designed the layout that blended formal and romantic garden styles.

The park is open daily with accessible pathways suitable for a leisurely stroll through both garden sections. Multiple entrances are located around the perimeter, making it easy to access from different parts of the city center.
Within the park grounds sits an association dedicated to preserving the Provençal language and local traditions, housed in an 18th-century mansion. This organization adds a living cultural dimension to what might otherwise be simply a green space.
