Quai de l'Oise

The Quai de l'Oise extends for 650 meters along the Bassin de la Villette, featuring a 14.3-meter-wide promenade that runs parallel to the water.

Built in 1828 during the development of the Canal de l'Ourcq, this quay housed the second town hall of La Villette between 1837 and 1850.

The waterfront location serves as a gathering point where local residents participate in outdoor activities, exhibitions, and seasonal celebrations throughout the year.

Multiple entry points connect the quay to the surrounding streets, while designated paths accommodate both pedestrians and cyclists traveling along the waterfront.

During World War I, the quay experienced two notable military incidents, including damage from German air raids and artillery shell explosions in 1918.
