Roc Blanc

Roc Blanc is a mountain peak in the Séranne range that reaches 942 meters in elevation. The summit features limestone cliffs and slopes covered with Mediterranean vegetation that varies across different elevation zones.

Shepherds and farmers have used the slopes for centuries to graze livestock and cultivate crops on terraced fields. These agricultural practices shaped the landscape over generations and remain visible today through the terraced patterns on the mountainside.

The summit serves as a gathering place for paragliders and hikers who share their passion for mountain sports. The local community uses this peak as a meeting point for collective activities and to celebrate the region's free flight traditions.

Marked trails from a parking area near Cazilhac lead to the summit, with a climbing time of around two and a half hours. The mountain is accessible to different fitness levels, though visitors should prepare for varying conditions depending on the season.

On clear days, the panoramic view from the summit stretches from the Pyrenees to Mont Ventoux and includes the Mediterranean Sea and the Cevennes mountains. This wide vista makes the peak a special place to grasp the geographic scope of the southern French landscape.
