Roche Pourrie

Roche Pourrie is a mountain summit in the Beaufortain Massif standing at 2037 meters. The peak displays distinctive rock formations shaped by Alpine geology and natural weathering processes.

The mountain has drawn climbers for generations as local paths were developed for access. Over time, these routes became part of the region's outdoor recreation tradition.

The name literally means 'rotten rock', referring to the loose and crumbling stone found here. This friable rock composition is especially prominent at the summit, giving the peak its distinctive appearance.
