The Tour de Bonvouloir stands 26 meters tall and features defensive moats, a watchtower, and remains of a former seigniorial residence.
Built in 1485 as part of a castle complex, this fortified tower served as a strategic defensive position during the late medieval period in Normandy.
The French government recognized the architectural value of Tour de Bonvouloir by classifying it as a Historical Monument in 1995.
Visitors can explore the site freely and rent audio guides at the Bagnoles de l'Orne Tourist Office for a 1.6-kilometer interpretative trail.
The site includes an ethnobotanical garden, a conservatory orchard of pear trees, and a local producer of edible flowers and aromatic plants.
