Église Saint-Florentin

Église Saint-Florentin is a Gothic church in Amboise near the Loire River. The building features three naves separated by stone columns decorated with floral capitals, and a bell tower topped with a Renaissance dome.

Construction of this church began in 1473 when King Louis XI ordered its building to serve the people of Amboise. The project reflected the king's effort to strengthen the town's religious independence during that period.

Inside you will find ten religious statues from the 19th century placed in wall niches throughout the space. These figures show different saints and add to the spiritual feeling of the interior.
