Église Saint-Jacques de Béziers

Église Saint-Jacques de Béziers is a Romanesque church perched on a hillside at the edge of the city, offering views across to the Orb river and the Pyrenees beyond. A fire in the organ chamber in 1960 revealed hidden Romanesque architectural elements such as columns and capitals that had been concealed by later additions. This unexpected discovery provided insight into the building's original construction methods.
