Château de Voisins, 17th century château in Louveciennes, France
Château de Voisins is a residence with two extending wings connected by an open loggia on the southern side, with an orangery building and service areas on the northern side. The main structure rises three stories and contains several large rooms designed for reception and daily use.
The Marquis de Cavoye, Grand Marshall of Louis XIV's court, purchased the residence in 1696 due to its strategic position near Versailles. It received historic monument status in 1948.
During the 19th century, the residence hosted a literary salon where creative figures gathered and worked on their writings. The Marquis de Cavoye's historic home became a meeting place for artists and intellectuals of that era.
The property is currently used as a corporate training center and may not be open to the public at all times. Check access conditions beforehand, as the grounds are partly used for private functions.
The eastern section contains a low wing housing kitchens and service rooms, separated from the main block by design. This layout reflects how 17th-century noble residences kept domestic operations hidden from reception areas and living quarters.
