The Place de la Pucelle-d'Orléans extends in the heart of Rouen, connecting several medieval streets and neighboring the Place du Vieux-Marché.
During construction work in 1994, workers discovered a Gallo-Roman fountain from the third century, which was subsequently moved to the regional Enedis Normandy headquarters.
The square honors Joan of Arc through its name and formerly displayed a statue of her created by sculptor Paul-Ambroise Slodtz between 1754 and 1755.
