Hôtel de Bardine, Historical private mansion in Angoulême, France
The Hôtel de Bardine features a large colonnade on its main facade, standing at 79 rue de Beaulieu in the center of Angoulême.
Built in 1782 by Louis Thomas, Lord of Bardines, this residence incorporates architectural elements typical of 18th-century Saint Petersburg design.
The mansion demonstrates the connection between French and Russian architecture through its design elements, particularly visible in the column capitals.
Visitors can discover this historical monument during the European Heritage Days, held annually in September under the guidance of the current owner.
The building served temporarily as an episcopal residence at the beginning of the 19th century before becoming a family property in 1913.
