Kiosque à musique de Marengo

The Kiosque à musique de Marengo is an octagonal cast iron bandstand located in Place Jean-Jaurès with decorative panels and ornamental details covering its sides. Its structure showcases elaborate cartouches that frame the composer names integrated into the overall design.

The bandstand was constructed in 1870 and underwent complete reconstruction in 1914 while retaining its original cast iron components. This renovation adapted the nineteenth-century structure to meet updated urban requirements.

The bandstand displays names of ten French composers including Ravel, Bizet, and Debussy inscribed on its cast iron panels. These tributes celebrate the musical heritage that continues to define this public gathering place.
