Château de la Bretonnière, Historical castle in Vigneux-de-Bretagne, France.

Château de la Bretonnière is a castle northwest of the village of Vigneux-de-Bretagne, set within an expansive park. The property includes outbuildings used for events and a pond within the grounds.

Originally the property was a hunting lodge of the Dukes of Rohan in the 15th century and later changed hands several times. During World War II it served temporarily as a training facility before passing to the de la Grandière family.

The castle displays 18th and 19th-century regional style with Neo-Gothic features, while preserving a tower from the 16th century. This architectural blend shapes how the place looks and shows how different building periods came together over time.

The property can be rented for events and accommodates up to 200 people in the outbuildings. Visitors have complete flexibility in choosing their catering partners and service providers.

During World War II the castle housed a specialized training facility with a specific operational purpose. This unusual chapter is often overlooked by visitors, though it marks an intriguing part of its history.
