L'Aulpe du Seuil

The passage of L'Aulp du Seuil served as the primary access route for livestock crossing the rocky barrier of Petites Roches toward Marcieu Valley pastures.

The natural reserve of Hauts de Chartreuse, where L'Aulpe du Seuil stands, maintains strict regulations to preserve the mountain environment and local wildlife.

Hikers can access the summit through a marked trail starting from Col de Marcieu parking lot, with a total distance of 7.94 kilometers and 824 meters elevation gain.

From the summit, visitors can observe both the Habert de l'Aulp du Seuil shelter and the ruins of Haberts de Marcieu in the valley below.
