Cime de Rocca Seira is a 824-meter summit with steep trails leading to an exposed ridgeline in the Maritime Alps. The mountain sits within a network of hiking paths that wind through rocky terrain and offer routes for different skill levels.
The mountain paths in this area connect to ruins of Rocca Sparviera, a medieval settlement abandoned in the 17th century. This forsaken site reveals how people once lived in this harsh terrain and used these mountain routes.

The hike begins at the Col de Porte parking area, accessible via Route D73, and follows an 11-kilometer trail with 578 meters of elevation gain. The terrain is rocky and partly exposed, so sturdy footwear and surefootedness matter for this route.
