Saint-Honorat Church is a house of worship with classical pillars, a triangular pediment, and a bell tower with colored roof tiles. The structure displays Italian architectural features in its exterior and traditional furnishings in its interior.

The church was built in the 16th century and substantially altered in the 19th century, keeping part of its earlier fabric. Restoration campaigns in later decades consolidated the walls and bell tower. The building stands at about 450 metres in Touët-de-l'Escarène, on the road and rail corridor of the Vallée du Paillon inland from Nice.

The church is dedicated to Saint Honorat, a name borne by the bishop of Arles and founder of the Lérins abbey; the dedication links the village parish to that Provençal saint. The building also served as the parish centre for the hamlets of the Escarène valley, and its bell marked the hours of work and prayer for the community.

The place sits about 21 kilometers from Nice and is reachable via the Nice-Tende railway line when available. If the train service is interrupted, a replacement bus service connects the area.
