Domaine de la Tour

Domaine de la Tour is a farm with a petting zoo and therapeutic programs spread across organic olive groves, housing roughly sixty animals from various species including alpacas, ponies, and peacocks. The site offers guided group visits with specially trained staff who focus on animal-assisted activities and educational experiences.

The grounds were originally an olive grove but were transformed into a center combining traditional farming with modern animal-assisted intervention methods. This shift reflects a growing focus on the healing power of human-animal relationships.

The farm serves as an educational meeting point where visitors interact with animals in a hands-on setting, fostering connections between people and the creatures living on the grounds. These interactions are designed to help guests, especially younger visitors, develop confidence and curiosity through direct experience with the animals.

Visitors must book in advance since guided tours operate only for small groups and are scheduled at set times throughout the week. Comfortable shoes are recommended for walking on uneven terrain, as the experience takes place mostly outdoors and depends on good weather.

A special highlight is a walk with Pepito, a donkey who leads visitors on three different routes through the landscape. During these explorations, guests can use binoculars and consult a road book to discover more about the surrounding nature.
