Santa Giulia beach, Mediterranean beach in Porto-Vecchio, France

Santa Giulia is a long sandy beach on Corsica's southern coast, stretching about 1.5 kilometers and bordered by granite rocks and Mediterranean plant life. The water is shallow and turquoise, making it suitable for swimming and water activities.

The area was once a working fishing hub and developed into a known coastal destination in the 1960s when French tourism expanded along the coast. This shift shaped how the place looks and functions today.

Several restaurants nearby serve traditional Corsican food, including fresh seafood and regional wines that reflect the area's connection to Mediterranean life. The dining spots here draw both locals and visitors seeking authentic island flavors.

Water sports equipment, loungers, and umbrellas are available to rent from April through October, with lifeguards on duty during summer months. It helps to arrive early in the day to secure a good spot, especially on warm weekends.

The water stays very shallow far from shore, creating a natural swimming zone where you can walk out quite far without losing your footing. This gradual depth makes the spot especially safe for families with children.
