Puig de Trés Estelles, Mountain peak in Escaro, France
The Pic des Tres Estelles rises to 2099 meters and establishes boundaries between the municipalities of Escaro, Sahorre, Py, and Nyer in the Eastern Pyrenees.
The geological formation of the peak dates back 470 million years when deep igneous intrusion created the present-day orthogneiss structures.
A stone monument erected in 1988 at the summit includes a dedicated box where hikers can record their observations and experiences.
The hiking trail from Col de Mantet requires approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete, covering 9.92 kilometers with 531 meters of elevation gain.
The southern and western slopes of the peak contain two protected natural zones that maintain the local ecological diversity.
