Chapelle Saint-Léonard de Kerantonel

The chapel features traditional Breton architecture with granite stone walls, slate roof, and a 16th-century bell tower that stands prominently above the surrounding countryside.

Built in the 17th century on the route between Kerantonel and Kerguen villages, the chapel underwent significant renovations in 1979 to preserve its original architectural integrity.

The annual pardon celebration takes place on the first Sunday of July, drawing pilgrims who honor Saint Leonard as protector of prisoners, travelers, and agricultural workers.

The chapel houses a bell dating from 1817 that still rings during religious ceremonies, and visitors can access the upper bell tower via stairs on the western gable.

A sacred fountain located in the eastern meadow near the chapel is believed by locals to possess healing properties for those seeking spiritual and physical benefits.
