Parc Montreau

Parc Montreau is a large green space with three water features, a rose collection, and a vegetable maze to walk through. The grounds combine open lawns with tree groves and themed planting areas.

The estate has roots in the 13th century, but went through major changes in the 1800s when original structures were destroyed during a conflict. Today's gardens were created afterward as a new development on the historical land.

The site is named after a local family and shows gardens that bring different plant cultures together in one place. This blend reflects how people in the region have traditionally understood nature and growing things.

The grounds are quite spacious and easy to explore on foot, with multiple entrances on different sides. Weekdays tend to be less crowded than weekends, making them better for a relaxed visit.

Among the trees in the park grows a particularly old and large conifer from North America that has stood here for over a century. This single plant is often overlooked by visitors, even though it towers above the other trees.
