Château de Didonne, 18th century castle in Semussac, France.

The castle features high conifers surrounding its grounds and stands as a prominent architectural structure in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

Originally named La Touche until the mid-18th century, the castle underwent major renovations between 1754 and 1758 under Jean-Charles de Sennecterre's direction.

The former residence of the Lord of Didonne, Marquis de Sennecterre, represents the architectural heritage of French nobility in the Saintonge region.

Located just 10 minutes from the coast, the castle now operates as a hotel with rooms starting at 120 euros per night.

The property maintains an agricultural connection through its transformation from a noble residence to a modern farm under Paul Firino-Martell's ownership in 1917.
