MUSCO, Chocolate museum in Limonest, France

MUSCO is a chocolate museum in Limonest housed in a wide rectangular building with a dark grey, vertically ribbed metal facade. Large white capital letters spell "MUSCO" on the upper facade, with "Musée du chocolat" below, and a recessed colonnade of closely spaced dark posts runs along the ground level in front of a dark glass front. A sign reading "ENTRÉE MUSÉE" marks the entrance at the right end, beside a paved area where cars park.

Richard Sève founded the facility in 2017 to showcase technical and historical aspects of chocolate manufacturing in France. This founding marked the beginning of a space bringing together craft and innovation.

MUSCO bears the name of chocolatier Richard Sève, whose workshop produces the chocolates sold on site. Visitors can watch confectioners at work and see the finished tablets and bonbons in the shop, so the museum doubles as a working chocolate maker's address in Limonest.

MUSCO stands on Allée des Frênes in Limonest, north of Lyon. The museum entrance is at the right end of the building, marked "ENTRÉE MUSÉE", behind the row of dark posts along the facade. Cars can be parked on the paved area in front. Allow time to walk through the production areas in order, following the steps from bean to bar.

The dark grey facade carries the name MUSCO in large white capitals, with "Musée du chocolat" beneath it and an "ENTRÉE MUSÉE" sign at the right end of the ground-floor colonnade. Behind the closely spaced dark posts of that colonnade sits a dark glass front, and cars park on the paved area directly in front of the building.
