Le Mont de l'Herba

Le Mont de l'Herba is a mountain summit in the Jura range located near Les Hôpitaux-Vieux in the Doubs department, composed of sedimentary rock. The slopes feature open pastures dotted with grassland and gentle terrain, offering clear views across the surrounding landscape.

The summit sits in a region that long served as a natural border between France and Switzerland, shaping its historical importance. This border location influenced how settlements and pastoral lands developed across the area over many centuries.
