Tour Skylight

Tour Skylight is a modern skyscraper with 18 floors in the La Défense business district, distinguished by its pixelated aluminum facade. The building combines student housing in the lower nine stories with private apartments in the upper section, creating a mixed-use structure.

The building marked a turning point in La Défense development as the first residential structure completed after a 30-year gap in such construction. This change showed the district moving beyond purely commercial uses toward mixed-use development.

The tower houses a campus of IÉSEG Business School, which shapes daily activity in the area and brings students into the neighborhood regularly. This mix of living and learning creates a specific character that reflects how the district evolves.

The tower sits in the heart of the business district with good access by public transport. Getting around the building and its surroundings is straightforward, with shops and services nearby.

The facade features perforated anodized aluminum panels that create a metallic pattern which appears to shift with changing light. This surface treatment gives the building an unusual visual depth for a district known for more austere modern design.
