Plage de la Fourberie

Plage de la Fourberie is a sandy beach located on the Brittany coast with fine sand and calm waters. The strand is framed by rock formations and offers views across to the nearby island, with a distinctive tower rising at its edge.

The beach developed as a resort destination in the mid-1800s when wealthy families from Paris began visiting the area regularly. This period of growth established many of the structures and features that define the town today.

The white tower beside the beach once served as a navigation beacon and remains a landmark that shapes the local identity of Saint-Lunaire. Locals and visitors naturally use it as an orientation point when walking along the coastline.

The beach has showers and restroom facilities, with lifeguards present during the summer months. Water conditions improve during high tide when the sand is fully submerged and access to the water becomes easier.

The location catches consistent winds that make it popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers who appreciate the open coastal position. However, these water sports are restricted during peak summer months to protect swimmers.
