Orelle telecabine

The Orelle telecabine is a modern gondola in the French Alps that connects the village of Orelle to the Val Thorens ski area. It operates in two stages, traveling about 5 kilometers total to reach the higher slopes.

The current gondola was built in 2021 as a replacement for an older system, offering better capacity for visitors. Since its opening, it has allowed more people to travel to higher elevations at the same time.

The gondola connects a small village to a major ski area, making it easy for people from the region to reach the mountains. It serves both skiers and hikers daily, shaping the rhythm of life in the valley.

The gondola operates in two sections, with each stage taking roughly 10 to 15 minutes depending on how busy it is. Visiting early in the morning or on quieter weekdays typically means shorter waits.

The gondola reaches about 3200 meters in elevation, where visitors can see a vast mountain panorama on clear days. This view makes every trip special, especially when sunlight illuminates the peaks.
