Cime de Caron

Cime de Caron is a mountain summit at 3,195 meters in a major ski region in the French Alps. From the top, you can see peaks across France, Italy, and Switzerland, including views toward the Mont Blanc massif.

The summit became accessible to visitors following the creation of Val Thorens ski resort in 1971, which brought cable cars and mountain infrastructure. This development transformed the peak from a remote location into a destination for tourists and sports enthusiasts.

A footbridge at the top features a transparent rotunda where both floor and walls are made of glass, allowing visitors to stand above empty space. The glass panels are engraved with the names of surrounding mountain peaks, turning the structure into a guide for identifying what you see.
