Telecabine of Orelle-Caron

The Orelle-Caron gondola is a cable car system in the French Alps that links the village of Orelle with the Cime Caron summit area. The installation spans about 2200 meters and rises over 1000 meters in elevation to reach a high plateau surrounded by alpine peaks.

The cable car opened in 2021 and replaced the older transport system to better connect the ski areas. This new infrastructure simplified access within the Les 3 Vallées ski domain.

The gondola system represents a technological advancement in French alpine infrastructure, connecting communities within the Les 3 Vallées ski domain.

The cable car is accessible for skiers and pedestrians traveling in both directions. The ride takes less than 20 minutes, and upon arrival at the top, visitors find hiking trails and viewing points.

The cable car conquers a steep elevation gain and reaches the Cime Caron plateau at approximately 3200 meters. This journey offers visitors rapid altitude change and a dramatic shift in the landscape visible throughout the ascent.
