Pointe de l'Eyssina, Mountain summit in Hautes-Alpes, France.

The Pointe de l'Eyssina reaches an elevation of 2,837 meters and stands prominently above the Vars valley in the Parpaillon mountain range.

During the Upper Cretaceous period, 80 to 70 million years ago, the mountain's rock formations developed through underwater landslides creating alternating dark and light layers.

The north face of Pointe de l'Eyssina serves as a competition venue for professional free-ride skiing events, including Red Bull Line Catcher qualifications.

The ascent from Col de Vars involves a 750-meter elevation gain, requiring crampons and ice axes during winter conditions for safe climbing.

Charles Flahault documented the mountain's flora in 1897, noting the presence of Alpine meadow rue and numerous rare high-altitude plant species.
