Tbilisi National Park

The park spans 243 square kilometers across the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Range, containing forests, rivers, and mountainous terrains between 600 and 1700 meters elevation.

Established in 1973 through the conversion of former protected lands, Tbilisi National Park emerged as the first national park in Georgia, integrating the Saguramo Nature Reserve.

The park territory includes several religious sites, with ancient trails leading to both Martkopi Monastery and Zedazeni Monastery through diverse natural landscapes.

Three designated cycling routes of varying difficulties traverse the park, including the 10-kilometer Big Viewpoint Trail and the 38-kilometer Mamkoda Medium Loop.

The protected area houses 675 plant species and 46 endemic mammals, including wolves, lynxes, and brown bears, along with numerous bird species and reptiles.
