Plage de Bel-Air

Plage de Bel-Air is a wide sandy beach along the Guinean coast near Boffa with fine white sand and clear water. The shoreline stretches for several kilometers and is lined with coconut palms, creating an extended beach environment with natural features throughout.

This coastal region developed into an important trading hub because of its connection to river routes linking trade with the interior. The Fatala River trade routes made the area a meeting point for regional commerce and exchange.

The beach brings together locals and visitors during celebrations and special occasions, creating gathering spaces for families and tourists alike. People spend time swimming, resting in the shade of palm trees, and enjoying the coastal environment together.

The beach is reachable from Boffa and lies at a distance from Conakry in western Guinea. Visitors should expect limited facilities and plan visits during the drier seasons when access is easier.

The beach remains publicly owned and stays open to visitors without entrance fees throughout the year. This public management has prevented commercial development from changing the place's natural character.
