Javakheti National Park

The national park spans 238 square kilometers of diverse landscapes including mountains, lakes, and highland plateaus at 2,200 meters above sea level.

The Georgian government established Javakheti National Park in 2011 through a collaborative project with WWF and financial support from the German government.

The park region maintains traditional Georgian practices with local communities actively participating in the management and development of natural resources.

Visitors can access information centers, guided tours, and marked trails while exploring the five largest lakes and extensive grasslands within the protected area.

The park connects with Lake Arpi National Park in Armenia, forming a substantial transboundary protected zone that supports numerous migratory bird species.
