Gallen-Kallela Museum, Art and cultural history museum in Tarvaspää, Espoo, Finland.
The museum exhibits paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, and personal artifacts of Finnish painter Akseli Gallen-Kallela in a castle-like structure.
The studio-home, constructed between 1911 and 1913, transformed into a museum in 1961 after serving as the residence of painter Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
The collections include numerous works inspired by the Finnish national epic Kalevala, reflecting the artist's dedication to Finnish mythology and traditions.
The museum welcomes 99,000 visitors annually and maintains different opening schedules for September through May and mid-May through August periods.
The building combines both a functional artist studio and living quarters, designed entirely by Gallen-Kallela himself during his peak creative period.
