Liminka Bay, Nature reserve and bird wetland in Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland.
The protected wetland extends along the coast of Bothnian Bay, providing habitats for more than 300 different bird species throughout the year.
The area has served as essential fishing grounds since medieval times, supporting local communities through sustainable fishing practices across generations.
The Liminka Bay Visitor Centre presents an exhibition about the Eight Seasons of Birds, reflecting the natural cycles of bird migration.
Five observation towers connected by wooden walkways allow visitors to watch birds, with free binoculars available at the visitor center.
During spring and autumn migrations, tens of thousands of swans, geese, and ruffs gather at the bay, creating large congregations of birds.
