Trakošćan

Trakošćan is a small settlement in Varaždin County in northern Croatia, situated between the Oštrc and Trakošćan Hills in a green rural setting. The village consists of traditional residential buildings and rural structures spread across the landscape.

The settlement grew around a fortress built in the 13th century that later served as a residence for the Drašković family. The site remained important through the centuries until changes came in the 20th century.
