Jurjevac Punitovački is a rural settlement in Punitovci municipality, where houses are scattered along the county road that connects Punitovci with Beketinci and Osijek. The village has a school with two classrooms where Slovak language instruction takes place and a church serving the community.
Slovak settlers founded the village in 1882 under an agreement with Bishop Josip Juraj Strossmayer, who required them to clear forested land before establishing homes. The church was built in 1950 and has remained a central landmark since then.
