Marušići, Omiš

Marušići is a coastal settlement beneath Omiska Dinara mountain featuring hidden pebble beaches and small sandy coves with clear waters. Several small bathing areas dot the waterfront, offering views across to the neighboring coastline.

The settlement grew from a traditional fishing community into a residential area with preserved stone buildings and a small church. These architectural features reflect generations of people who lived from the sea and local craft traditions.

The locals keep the tradition of Dalmatian a cappella singing alive, with groups performing at regional festivals that show Mediterranean musical roots.

Visitors will find private accommodation and a grocery store within walking distance, along with several restaurants for meals. The best time to swim is from May to September when the water warms up and daylight lasts longer.

Borak cove contains a natural freshwater spring that flows directly into the sea, creating an unusual blend of water temperatures. Visitors who dive in the right spot can feel the tingling experience of cold fresh water mixing with warm salt water.
