Brodarica

Brodarica stretches along a rocky Adriatic coastline with several pebble beaches and direct sea access near Šibenik. The settlement consists of scattered houses extending inland from the waterfront, interspersed with restaurants, small shops, and various places to stay.

The area has been inhabited since ancient times based on archaeological evidence, with settlement life always tied to the sea. Maritime activity grew stronger due to proximity to nearby Krapanj island, which became a sponge diving center.

Fishing remains woven into everyday life here, with boats and nets part of the common landscape. The way locals interact with the sea shows how maritime traditions shape their daily routines and connection to the place.

A path along the waterfront connects different areas, making it easy to walk around the settlement. During warm months, beaches can get crowded, so arriving early helps find quieter spots.

It sits just a short distance from Krapanj island, one of the few remaining sponge diving centers in the Adriatic. This geographical closeness makes it an easy starting point for experiencing this uncommon maritime practice.
